Mrs. Fasci moved, 2nd Murdoch to enter executive session under #3 regarding the police budget as it relates to contract negotiations. Polled Board. Entered exec. session. No votes taken.
Drew raffle winner for Friends of the Pound. Williamson on County Road.
Noted Water Dept. cancelled their meeting.
Met with Mr. Joyce, South Shore Vo Tech Representative. Board voted to support the article on the upcoming warrant.
Established the time of 9:00 p.m. on October 16 for the Finance Committee, Board of Selectmen and School Committee to discuss finances.
On 5-0 vote approved Hanson Lions Club to canvass the Town for lite bulb sale o;n 10/27 and 10/28.
Discussion held with Hanson Housing Authority. Moved by Vess and 2nd Murdoch to send letter of support for the Hanson Housing Authority and signed application for Chapter 705 housing.
Mrs. Fasci moved, 2nd Murdoch to enter executive session under #3. Polled Board, unanimous. Discussed issues re fire dept. training, men and past practice. Voted on Mrs. Murdoch's motion, 2nd Fasci to declare an emergency based on the financial situation and to direct the Chief to implement necessary changes adjusting the call back schedule so as to cut back on overtime. Roll call vote. 5-0.
